'30 Iran-made medicines registered in Lebanon'

TEHRAN, Oct. 11 (MNA) – Lebanon's Minister of Public Health says that 30 Iran-made medicines have been registered in Lebanon, adding "We are ready to register Iranian medicines that are of high quality and cheaper than equivalents."

Firas Abiad made the remarks in a meeting with the Iranian Health Minister Bahram Einollahi in Tehran.

The Lebanese official voiced his country's readiness to register more Iranian drugs which are of high quality and reasonably priced compared to those of other countries..

Abiad hailed Iran's skillful and specialist physicians, expressing his country's readiness to further cooperate with Iran's health sector.

For his part, Einollahi expressed Iran's willingness to set up a university branch in Lebanon in the health sector.

A memorandum of understanding has already been signed between the two countries, he said, adding that we have also put forward a five-year plan in the health and treatment sector.
